Carolina's Creative Counseling provides individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Believing that everyone has the capacity for growth and positive change, we employ a strength-based, cognitive behavioral and trauma focused approach to therapy.
We believe in the uniqueness of each client and the importance of individualized treatment. We work together with the client to ensure that the experience in our program is meaningful and healing.
All of our therapists are Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW or LCSWA) or Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC or LPCA). Therapy may be provided at different areas including our Charlotte office, Matthews office, the individual’s school, home or other community settings, according to the individual needs. Megan Bryant, LPC
Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the North Carolina Board. Megan received her Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Mental Health from North Carolina A&T State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Prior to coming to Carolina's Creative Counseling, Megan worked as a supervisor for a therapeutic foster care agency. Megan has experience working with forensic interviewing, intensive-in-home and crisis response teams. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults and families on an array of mental health concerns. Megan utilizes therapeutic techniques from evidence based models such as; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as, age appropriate models that provide creativity in her work with younger children (age 4 and under) in a structured "Play Therapy" specific session.
Reba Brown, LCAS-A
Reba is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate and Qualified Professional. She has a Master of Social Work from Howard University. She works with children, adolescent, adults, and families. Reba is involved in several roles with Carolina's Creative Counseling; an Outpatient Therapeutic clinician (OPT) that specifically works with clients struggling through addiction, who have been evaluated and recommended for continued weekly therapy to address symptoms and behaviors that are negatively impacting their lives. With her specialization in addiction, Reba also maintains the role as the agency's Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Lead Clinician (SAIOP), and leads the 3 hour group, 3 days a week. She work's intensely with these clients addressing the significant risk factors they have exposed themselves to on a daily basis and the impact their addiction has had in their lives. Reba is extremely committed to helping individuals overcome addiction, and demonstrates the dedication and passion it will take in being a part of the solution to what has become an overwhelming national epidemic. In addition to her role's with OPT and SAIOP, Reba also provides additional support within the Intensive In-Home Services Program (IIH). She draws from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each of her clients. In her spare time, she likes to spend her weekends with family and friends.

Alicia Chambers, LCSW
Alicia has a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina, as well as a Bachelors degree in Psychology from UNC Greensboro. She enjoys working with children, adolescents and families utilizing therapeutic techniques from evidence based models such as; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as, age appropriate models that provide creativity in her work with younger children (age 4 and under) in a structured "Play Therapy" specific session. Alicia believes that a strengths based approach style helps create a more positive perspective throughout the therapy session. In her spare time, Alicia enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Whitney Coble, LPC
Whitney is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She has a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University. Whitney has worked as an Outpatient Clinician (OPT) with Carolina's Creative Counseling for the past 4 years and is currently working on several specializations to better assist her clients and their families. Whitney works in all settings to meet the needs of her clients and their families, and is one of the "CMS School Based" approved clinicians who provides therapy in several assigned elementary schools. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families and has a specific interest in working with clients whose lives have become overwhelmingly impacted due to a traumatic event left unresolved. Whitney is currently working towards her certification in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) through the NC Collaborative. She is projected to become rostered by June 2018. In addition to her TF-CBT training, Whitney is also training with several Cognitive Behavioral Therapists who specialize in specific trauma clinical work that provide more detailed, specific types of certification as it relates to individualized types of trauma. She is dedicated to helping families cope with mental illness and find sources of support for themselves. In her free time, Whitney enjoys shopping, and having social time for friends and family. Jamaal Dunn, LCSW-A
Jamaal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with over 10 years of experience working to improve the quality of living for children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Social Work from North Carolina Central University. Jamaal utilizes therapeutic techniques from evidence based models such as Person-Centered, Strengths-Based and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy models when engaging with individuals to achieve their goals. Jamaal is extremely passionate about improving the stigma attached to mental health and believes in "individuals caring for their mental health just as intently as they do their physical health". In his spare time, Jamaal loves spending time with his family, traveling, watching sports and playing basketball.
Autumn Hill, LCSW
Autumn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 11 years of experience in the mental health field. Autumn has worked in both clinical outpatient and community based settings with children, adolescents, and adults. She has provided in-home therapeutic services to at-risk youth and their families. Autumn's specialized clinical experience includes; mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, self-harm behaviors, substance abuse, and personality disorders. In addition to her clinical role with Carolina's Creative Counseling, Autumn has developed a strong work history with some of Charlotte's leading community agency's such as; Monarch, Charlotte Counseling Group and Youth Villages. Autumn believes that "emotional, physical, social, and spiritual health are all important aspects in life". Autumn utilizes therapeutic techniques from evidence based models such as; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to better assist her clients with "feeling better and living a more balanced life."

Gerald Hilliard, QP
Gerald is a Qualified Professional working in the field of mental health for over eighteen years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Livingstone College. He provides intensive support to children and families in the Intensive In-Home Services Program. He believes sport and physical education is fundamental to the early development of children. Skills learned during play and sport contribute the holistic development of young people. He believes his volunteer work and coaching children of all ages brings communities together and creates better societies. Gerald loves spending time his wife and their three sons. He is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to his sons’ games, never missing a single game.
Crystal Richard, LPC-A
Crystal is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She earned her Master of Science Degree specializing in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She believes in a person centered in therapeutic orientation including cognitive behavioral and art therapy. Crsytal's focus and experience is in working with children, adults, and families. When Crystal is not counseling, she enjoys photography, reading, writing, and world travel. Crystal is also a consultant with Doterra Oil Essentials. Joanna Smith, MSW
Joanna has over 8 years of experience working in the human services and mental health profession. She received her Master of Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Joanna is dedicated to helping her clients become the best version of themselves through evidenced based models such as Person-Centered and Strengths-Based Theories. Joanna creatively utilizes therapeutic techniques including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Play Therapy. Joanna's clinical experience includes working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, homelessness, teenage pregnancy, and family conflict. When Joanna is not working, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking, and crafting.

Tiffany Thompson, LPC
Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She has a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University. Her clinical experience includes working with children and adolescents with various emotional and behavioral challenges including depression, anxiety, anger management, and self-esteem improvement. Tiffany utilizes a person-centered approach to help individuals emphasize and build upon their strengths. She believes in working not only with the individual client, but with their entire system including the family, school, and community to create a positive impact in their lives. When she isn’t working, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as traveling.
